Sam Jukes

As an artist I have always lived on the rural fringes of Britain immersed in the landscape. Examining the relationship between the aesthetics, interconnections, tactility, and sound of environments, using image, objects and noise.

The sonic element of practice grows out of involvement in the 1990s sound system culture, taking the immersive and sonic qualities of large sound systems to evoke conversations about our relationship with the environment. Work often asks the viewer to consider environmental ideas, the politics of rural landscapes, and the cultural context of their situations.

Sound can have the deepest of impacts but leave the lightest of traces.

Fronde Crennell

Multi media artist. Experimental works in the visual, graphic, sculptural and sound arts.

Born in Glasgow in the 80s then raised between London, Dorset, an old Ambulance and The Isle of Mull, Fronde became wandering artist.

The underlaying factors that connect her work are motivated by memories of place, loss and love, in which social equality, equal opportunities, mental health and community all plays a part.
